First Church in Roxbury (fifth) is dedicated.
June 7, 1804
Architect: William Blaney. Also known as the John Eliot Church, it is designed in the Federal style and located at 10 Putnam Street in John Eliot Square. The building subsequently houses a 1,500-pound bell cast by Paul Revere & Son in 1819 and a clock built by Simon Willard. Preparations for renovation of the building are supported by Historic Boston, Inc. beginning in 2013.
